Celebrate and Pizza and Paint during Half Term
On Wednesday our theme was Celebrate! There were games to play and crafts which focussed on cake, wind, flames and different languages! Before a tasty lunch of pasta & sauce with optional chicken and / or cheese and fresh fruit, we used our crafts to re-tell the story of Pentecost – the birthday of the church. The morning was full of laughter and fun, some new friendships were made, and each child went home with a gift! On Friday we learned we have a Man City supporter amongst us, as we got creative designing and painting tote bags, pencil cases and scrunchies. The small pool table was a great success, and Lego is always enjoyed! Pizza making was on the menu that day, and our theme of Celebrate! continued, as one of our young volunteers celebrated her 17th birthday that day! Many thanks to the volunteers who make these sessions possible.
